The Bronx Early Learning Center Receives NAEYC Accreditation
Volunteers of America-Greater New York’s Bronx Early Learning Center (BELC) has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The NAEYC is an esteemed national nonprofit focused on the positive educational development of young children. Earning this five-year accreditation for early childhood programs ensures that our program meets high health, safety, and education standards for the children that it serves.
According to Linda Rosenthal, Director of Early Childhood Education at the BELC, it takes an entire year to undergo the process of accreditation. She says her team worked tirelessly to update program information and gather feedback from parents and staff. Their efforts are well worth the effort to ensure that the children in VOA-GNY’s care get the best head start possible.
